Jade Irisarri was born in Vigo in 1987 and holds a PhD in Biology, always connected to the marine world. From a young age, she has lived surrounded by the ocean: surfing, diving, kayaking, and a constant curiosity to understand what happens beneath the surface. This natural relationship with the sea defines her way of seeing and telling stories.
In addition to her work in the fields of fishing and food safety, she collaborates with her father creating underwater documentaries with an educational and conservation focus. Her objective is clear: to protect the sea and share the life it harbors, showing its fragility and beauty with accessible and honest language.
The ocean has always been her source of inspiration, and this same passion led her to write her first book, «Todos los mares dentro de mí» (All the Seas Within Me.) In it, she transforms Jordi Atienza‘s experiences into literature: journeys, dives, encounters with animals, and moments that you only understand when you live underwater. Each chapter recounts a real adventure, narrated with sensitivity and a perspective that combines science, emotion, and the sea.
Her writing style transforms those experiences into an honest, direct, and ocean-filled narrative. It’s the perfect voice to bring to life a story that is born from the water and returns to it.
